Artiste bio (rayce)
Kingsley irase amoni otherwise known as RAYCE is a seasoned singer, songwriter and music producer. Rayce is from Edo state in the southern region of Nigeria. rayce had his primary education at SOLID FOUNDATION Montessori school, apapa. He moved on to government college ikorodu and later left for ikotun high school where he concluded his secondary education. Born to Mr and Mrs. George amoni in Lagos. Rayce has one sibling, his sister lauretta.


Growing up around his grandfather who was a musician definitely had a profound effect on him musically. In 2001 rayce met an older friend who told him it was possible to make beats using computers. That revelation changed his life as he started learning how to make beats from then on. Rayce mastered the art of beat making by helping his music inclined friends churn out neighborhood hits. In July 2004 rayce dropped his first official single “nakiyeh”. The song and video did well at the time. Between 2004 and 2008 when raise dropped his second single (solo), rayce kept making music and producing for artistes in the business. February 2008 “solo” dropped. Rayce’s second single gained airplay on major radio stations and the video was received with the same love.


Rayce went back to the studio and months later “sci-fi love” was released. This was rayce’s contribution to the rising interest of Nigerians for techno music. This song dropped online and is still receiving huge downloads till date. Rayce runs a music production unit called “admire beats”. Rayce has worked with artists like wizkid, gino, isolate, kaydee, skales, dpzle, kaha, grip boys, illbliss, zee, 2shots, ketchup, Morachi and a whole others. Rayce’s role model is tuface idibia and his dream collaboration would be a joint with tuface.

In March 2011, rayce’s smash single “roll” was released. The song went on to become a nationwide hit and it still is. “Roll” opened a lot of new doors to the artiste. Rayce has traveled far and wide preaching his music gospel. Rayce has rocked stages with wande coal, iyanya, cabo snoop, wizkid, dbanj, Duncan mighty, brymo, davido etc rayce worked with 2shots afterwards on a song titled “jobiokoto” which he produced. This feature played a useful role in cementing rayce’s spot in the industry. The video for this song dropped later on and has been receiving very good airplay across the continent


Rayce has 2 new singles currently rocking the airwaves nationwide. “Tested ok” produced by him and “figure8” which was produced by GOSPEL is rayce’s way of saying “this is going to be a long ride”. His debut album which is set to drop before the end of 2012 is titled “DCMR” which simply means “dey call me rayce”. This album will have music appearances by top African artistes such as tuface, fally ipupa, wande coal, m.i, iceprince, wizkid, tiwa savage etc. rayce is currently signed to bigdon records and managed by PUSH management
