CAN WE MEET YOU?STYLEH: i am styleh, aka for the ladies, i am an
artise, i am from delta state, born and brought up in Lagos. QUESTION:
WHEN DID YOU START MUSIC: STYLEH: my love for music goes way back to my
childhod days, when i was young i listen to a lot of music, mostly
foreign music, later i started composing songs. i started using voice
recorder to record my flow, i woluld listen to my self to see if i am
making sense to take music seriouly, then some people would mock me
while people like my mum and some of my friends greatly encourage me. i
started music professionaly four years ago that is When i did my first
single titled no time, which was a message to all the youth
encouraging them to follow their dream, that time is money, i followed
it with another single where i feature popular fuji crooner obesere, i
couldnt promote the song as much as i would have love to do because of
shortage of mone,.after this song i droped another single tittled
beautiful angel for all the ladies which got a lot positive feedback
from the ladies. QUESTION:WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP DO YOU HAVE WITH
OBESRE ? STYLEH: i was introduce to him by a friend, so i decided to do a
song with him. i really enjoyed working with him, we communicate often
and also hangout sometimes.QUESTION:SO WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO DO A SONG
WITH FATAI ROLLING DOLLAR ?STYLEH: the nigerian music is not a child's
play, it not easy to break bounds and command a following nationwide,
so me and my manager sat down and reason together so i deciced to do
something different to be different among the rest, so i decided to do a
track that would appeal to the youth and the older generation as well, i
am trying to do something different that is why i droped my new single
tittled iwoni. QUESTION:THE AVERAGE UPCOMING NIGERIAN ARTISTE WOULD
LOVE TO DO A COLLABORATION WITH A REIGNING NEW GENERATION ARTISTE WHY
DID YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH FATAI ROLLING DOLLAR? STYEH :i like that
question, most up coming artise would prefer to work with acts like
tuface, dbanj, psquare, but i chosse fatai rolling dollar because he is a
music icon in african music and the track really sooth IS kind of
music. we dont need to forget our legends because they pave the way for
us.i decided to go back to the root. the first time i took the demo to
him, he told me to come back, so i called him the next day and he said
he really love the song so we went to the studio the next day to
include his part and evevrybody that has listen to the song has been
loving it. QUESTION: DOES IT MEAN YOU LOVE TO ASSOCIATE WITH THE OLDER
GENERATION ARTISE HAVING DONE A SONG WITH OBESERE AND NOW FATAI ROLLING
DOLLAR? STYLEH: its not that i dont feel the younger generation, i
am a younger generation artiste, i just want to do something
different. QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES YOU HAVE BEEN FACING IN
YOUR MUSIC CARRE: STYLEH: i always tell people life itself is a
challenge, you cant go through life and not face challenges,
immediately you are born to this world you would start facing
challenges, i face challenges when i go to shows to perform, sometime
the crowd would scorn me, they would say they don't know me that
they want reigning artise to perform but i dont get discourage because
i love doing music, it is a passion for me so i cannot quit.QUESTION?
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR KIND OF MUSIC? STYLEH: let me call it
afro hip hop, i sing all kind of music but basically i do Afro hip hop. i
do reggae, hiphop, r and b etc i can also change my voice to sooth this
genres.QUESTION: WHAT SHOULD NIGERIANS EXPECT FROM YOU? i wont
brag,they should expect something unexpected, i would be dropping my
album soon, i would pushing my record label to the front burner which is
already functioning underground, so they should expect a lot of good
music from me.
